MISSION
Gillco, a B2B natural ingredients supplier, wanted to increase visibility and solidify its position as an industry leader while pursuing larger partnerships, national distribution, and long-term growth. Though already respected for exceptional formulation partnership and customer service, the brand needed to more clearly communicate its value and ambition—internally and externally.
What began as a need for visibility evolved into a desire for a brand system that could support scale, leadership, and business complexity.
BEFORE STATE
Gillco is a B2B natural ingredients supplier founded in 1987, serving national CPG food brands. Known internally as the “Apple of the ingredients world,” Gillco built its reputation on deep formulation partnership, side-by-side customer service, and technical excellence.
While the company had the beginnings of a visual identity, the brand experience—both internal and external—did not yet reflect the caliber of the team or the sophistication of their work.
THE PROCESS
We embedded ourselves as a brand partner, working closely with Gillco’s internal marketing team and VP of Marketing. What began as a national brand campaign expanded into a full rebrand and a long-term partnership supporting sales, trade, and corporate growth initiatives.
Our role spanned strategy and execution, adapting the brand system over time to support evolving needs—including high-stakes mergers, acquisitions, and executive-level pitches.
THE OUTCOME
The brand matured alongside the business. Sales teams were equipped with custom digital and physical tools designed specifically for their needs. The brand voice sharpened. Visual storytelling evolved—from broader lifestyle narratives to highlighting the ambitious, near-professional pursuits of Gillco’s own team.
The result was a brand that felt human, confident, and distinctly Gillco.
